Title: A Lie Gets Halfway Around the School Before the Truth Has a Chance to Get Its Pants On Author: midnitemaraud_r Recipient: fullmoon_dreams Rating: R
Riotous laughter fills the room. How terrible if everyone could hear your thoughts, just thinking about it stuns me. They were all so young, and basically innocent of the horrors that were to come. Great story.
It would be really creepy! We'd all be in so much trouble! Hee!
Thinking about those horrors breaks my heart, which is probably why I tend to prefer writing fun and silly stories about them. Adding to the pile of good, if embarrassing-at-times, things.
I really loved Remus' inner voice. He, too, was funny and clever, and had quite a wicked tongue, erm, brain. He, as did the other characters, also seemed very in-character.
The relationship between the Marauders was great. Considering what we know from canon, it also seems very much in-character for their relationships to have that slightly antagonistic , more-than-slightly juvenile, very boyish quality about them. And lol at Prongs goring Remus in the arse for his own good. It's a wonder Lily ever warmed up to him at all!
I also loved your Peter. He was very much a Marauder in this, capable and clever in his own right. In fact, all the characters were well done. As was the magic and potions.
I just love them all so much, and considering everything that happens down the road (*cries*) I not only want to give them all the hugs, but also all the laughs. (And all the sexy-times, too! :-P)
I don't like writing Peter as less, because I think that would do them all a disservice, not just Peter. Not that I forgive him for what he did later, (I suppress all my rage! Hee!) but he did manage to fool everyone, including Dumbledore, which is no mean feat.
I've always imagined Remus as having a rather wicked mind. (I would love to know what he said to Sirius about Umbridge!) If was fun to give him the, ah, opportunity to share it with the others, particularly Sirius. (And James! Traumatizing James is one of my favorite things to do! Hahaha!)
I KNOW I FAIL AT SMALL! I can't help it! The four of them just speak to me, and if I was a bit more creative and little less lazy, I could probably write novels about them!
Of course he's a flirt. Not that he actually means it all the time, in that way at least, but to me it's like an intrinsic part of his nature. He can't help it, and he milks it for all he can! :-P YES!!!
(Actually, in my head, Slughorn looks like a cross between a walrus and the Monopoly dude. It's the mustache!!)
I'm so, so glad you liked it! \o/ Thank you so much!! ♥ ♥
Very enjoyable. I don't read MWPP very much anymore. It was great to visit with them in your zany fic. I liked the boyish way that they related to each other.
