This was very intriguing. I'm wondering all sorts of things about the memory loss, too, from traumatic repression to Dumbledore memory charming him so he didn't do something mad like try to break Sirius out of Azkaban. Great job!

I've never read a story where Remus is the one with the memory loss before. I think it is a compelling way to show the trauma he experienced when the Potters died and Sirius was jailed, that it was all too painful for him to bear.

His obsession with sex was interesting plot device to show how his locked memories were seeping into his consciousness.

It was intriguing to feel so unsure about whom to trust, Remus who is certain of his memories, or Sirius who has good reason to have lost his memories and maybe made up some in Azkaban. An unreliable narrator is always fun.

Very nice story.

Thank you mods, again, for giving us a catch-up day. I was almost put off by the warnings, but I was very glad I read this. It was fabulous. It reminded me a little of that “Memento” movie in a very good way.

Poor Remus. I felt so sorry for him, but the same time he was charming in his desperation. I’m glad that Sirius set it all straight.

Your writing is strong and witty. I enjoyed how you treaded on the very edge of humor. You made it all touching and real, but still light-hearted in its own way.

this was cool because you really expanded canon to be something different and refreshing. i love stories that are still canon and yet take things to a whole new level because they go outside the confines of the regular story yet to not destroy the timeline. pica_scribit, brighty18, and mindabbles all do stuff like that and i think it's really neat.

your story was especially cool because it was well-written and i have never encountered anything like it before. i felt sorry for remus but it was not overly angsty or sloppy.

i think you should write a sequel or a prequel though. how did he lose his memory. i once read a very long fic by someone i cannot remember in which remus obliviates himself so as to forget sirius. did he so that? i really want to know.

wonderful and mysterious... what on earth is going on? but then it all becomes clear. now a hopeful (non-canon!) future becomes possible for them.
