i couldn't tell. :p
anyway, well, i have to say that while this sirius doesn't really fit my image of canon sirius, this story is so well-crafted that this sirius and the religious overtones overall never felt out of place. you did a fantastic job tying his beliefs into every important event in his life in a way that feels natural. and of course, george. i had completely forgot that you were going to include him! heh. he and arthur were great.
i love this. it's funny, it's heartbreaking, is sexy, it's everything good.
if it doesn't get tons of comments i will be very mad!

Yeah, it definitely isn't canon, is it? :) One thing I've always had a hard time writing is Sirius's bullying tendencies. But I also wanted to show that just because he was faithful didn't mean he was angelic... heh.
Anyway, thanks again- and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This is beautiful and real. Sirius' journey is amazing, it has so many parralels to what the faithful have to go through everyday and also, the walk with God and how complex with make it, the clash between the freewilled mind and the loving heart.
The link between Remus and God, was just wonderful.
I canot tell you how much I loved this. But I will most certainly be sharing this with my bible study (mostly made of up gay/bi individuals), because it's a wonderful study of forgiveness and the power of God's love.
I just. I don't know what to say.

I'm finding a lot of the comments to this piece very difficult to answer, because they're so lovely. This was one of those.
Thanks :)

This was actually my second foray into combining religion and Harry Potter. The first one was also with Sirius, and it was more of a character study than a story, I think. (It's also what prompted me to do this one. In the first one, the idea began that he was an altar boy. Then it was "hey, how about a priest?")
Thanks again!

Round 1 was underway when I began following The R/S Games and I remember being blown away with both the insights and the quality of the writing of the first piece that I read. I worry thay I'm spoiled because once in a while a day comes along where the entries are good rather than great and then I read your entry! This is truly in a class by itself.
