i'll admit that i am rather a fan of those pbs archaeology shows (as well as various you tube archaeology feeds) and there is a part of me that always wants to imagine some of those guys with each other, but this really takes the cake. the setting, the dialog, and the peripheral characters were utterly perfect. all those great women? dorcas, nigella, lily (of course), marlene, etc.? how any of them put up with sirius, i'll never know, but they were all quite wonderful. and remus and sirius were equally if not more wonderful. such amusing banter!
and i very much liked the whole set-up and mystery of it all. kelpies, of things! that was quite clever!
in fact, this whole story was just super original and clever. what a truly great day of r/s reading. thank you, mystery author, and thank you mods!

How absolutely perfectly Sirius.
And this:
In truth, Sirius didn't care if the whole Wizarding world knew he was happily shacked up with this man. But Remus liked what little privacy they had just the way it was, thank you, and that, Sirius would protect with his life.
I think I melted a little at that. What an amazing example of how Sirius feels about all of this. So incredibly sweet.
This whole thing was simply a blast to read. Amazing job!
