It's always harder for me to leave coherent feedback on a sad story. I just want to curl up and think about our guys (and sometimes think unkind thoughts about Rowling).
One part I particularly liked, was about Remus trying to forget about Sirius, and then a bit later we see that he has used magical means to do so. It makes perfect sense to me. We muggles often turn to drink or drugs to deal with loss -- I loved that you had Remus use a magical method.

setting was a great character, too, but they all were, really. everyone was so real and subtle and fully fleshed out. i particularly loved lily and that walk she took with sirius. and there was so much genuine, nuanced emotion here, too.

That mention of bigots gaining power did feel rather uncomfortably real this month though!
