What a beautiful punch in the gut this fic was. It's so well-written, and it's such an achingly convincing portrayal of two people who love each other, and of how war and doubt and mistrust can still come between them. I loved this line: It says a lot that Sirius will trust him with his body but not his secrets; it says more about him that he'd rather that than nothing. It's one of many lines that went straight to my heart. Your description of Remus' grief also felt painfully true. Really wonderful - and sad - work!
