I've been reading this fic from the 2nd day itself but didn't get around to finishing it until now because I could feel the angst right from the start. And what a story. What sadness all around. I love angst,okay. Especially when it's written the way it is in this fic

I didn't know much about the miners' strike beforehand but this was really evocative of what I feel that period must have been like, bleak with moments of respite. Remus' hope that his research could help and then realisation that it wouldn't was painful to read - a really interesting transplant of his struggles in canon.

Wow, this is a very interesting story about that era. Being American I don't know much about this era in England although I did like the movie Pride and I liked this story very much.
