ooooh, that was just spectacular! i have read a lot of 'through the veil' stories, but nothing this original, interesting or thought provoking. i really loved how true to character both remus and sirius were too. of course sirius would become a leader of a group like that. i believe that he always had a sort of radical nature. and of course remus would think of teddy and dora and those that he loved because human connection was always very important to him. that was perfectly done. in fact, i think that this bit really sums up remus nicely: but what was hope? he should have known, to be honest. kope had only ever given him one thing in all the years of his life. but that one thing had been sirius and it had seemed like the biggest gift in the world and perhaps the giddiness of all that was what had caused him to chance it again. good job!

in the end though what was the most interesting to me was the world you created for sirius. it made complete logical sense that that is how things would end. a long time ago, brighty18 and i were ( ... )

Really amazing and imaginative. I've read a few post-death stories, but nothing like this! The veil as a portal/door to various times and ending up in the future (bleak future at that) was such a creative concept.

I also enjoyed your Remus because his relationship with both Sirius and Tonks and Teddy was just like I always imagined it. And Sirius, trying to be respectful and thinking Remus moved on, just broke my heart. Remus' speech to him was lovely.

I really loved this story. Kudos. And I'm glad the Mods put it near the end of the Games. It seems appropriate with the theme.

A really inventive take on through-the-veil fic. I love the idea of the veil as a portal to other times, and the faith involved in them stepping through it yet being able to find each other. The political aspects of the wider world were also so clearly thought out, it felt very complete even though we only saw a glimpse.

What a whirlwind adventure! I rode the twist and turns like a surfer, wondering how we were going to get to the other side. I love the idea of what's behind the veil - it actually reminded me a bit of the book that records the names of magical children as well as the grove in A Nightmare Before Christmas - and all the potential adventures hiding there. This could easily be a series, couldn't it? Like a strange, Doctor Who-like series.

Anyway, great job!

<3!!What a great idea and setting.I love the way Sirius doesn't want to 'wreck' Remus's life, silly boy!!He is so in love!!And Remus's character was just the perfect mix of anguish,hope,love,guilt-all of that and more!!I just wanted to hug him when he knows about Teddy's fate in this world and avoids the children while going around the camp!aaaaah!!Great ending to this fic!!
