Ah this was a brilliant read, loved it!
The writing is wonderful, and the pacing is perfect.
Especially liked how at first everything about Sirius is so enticingly mysterious until we slowly discover why he is the way he is,
and I was struck by how well the reversal works in terms of their characters.
Also the werewolf in the nursery bit was great - the usually quiet dad suddenly towering to fight him... That a werewolf was Remus' first boggart, and now he's not only getting to know a werewolf but is actually falling in love with him - again, wonderful.

And loved(!) the matter of fact way we learn about Remus' passion for the moody boy, and how the fact he likes boys btw isn't a new thing - just beautifully done.

A real pleasure to read. Hat tip and handshake, can't wait for reveals! :)

What an amazing AU! The scene between Remus and dumbledore on the astronomy tower was so gut wrenchingly beautiful. And it was fascinating to imagine the maurauders without Sirius. I absolutely loved the description of Remus' first crush on Fabian Prewett--it rang so true.

And this line--what a great way to infuse a moment of tension without diminishing it, There are in fact many things he could know, from the colour of Evans’s underwear to the exact number of the giant squid’s tentacles, so Remus waits patiently for enlightenment.

Lovely!

This is amazing, anonymous author whose work I will definitely be looking up post-reveals. I knew from the very first line that I would love this fic: you've crafted some really beautiful sentences here, and you did a fantastic job of having Remus and Sirius switch places but still being wholly themselves. I could probably ramble on about how much I loved this fic for hours, but off the top of my head my favorite things were the touches of humor (watching Sirius scowl at his coffee as if it had mortally offended him made me chuckle out loud - this is so Sirius), every bit of banterish dialogue between Remus and Sirius, and last, but definitely not least, the way you describe Remus's budding affection for Sirius. That was absolute perfection. Actually, the whole fic was absolute perfection!

Love this, love this, LOVE THIS!!!!!

What a bloody clever idea, switching their fates around and letting us have a glimpse of what they'd be like. I think you nailed it perfectly! I love how you portrayed the boys, how their personalities were still the same yet very different. The whole 'restless wolf' image that James mentions seems so very canonically Sirius, yet it's exaggerated slightly for the wild boy who is out of his element.

Beautifully written story. Gorgeous, in fact!

This was brilliant - as everyone else has said, such a clever reversal of their histories while still retaining everything about their characters that makes them who they are underneath the other influences. Sirius slowly coming out of his shell and realising what he can have despite the wolf was beautifully handled.
