Wow. How you managed to just break my heart with so few words. Incredibly well done. That Remus wanted to forget so badly that he was willing to erase it all, and that everything was unfamiliar again when Sirius was finally back, you made me cry. That's a hard thing to do, and yet, this had me from the very beginning. This was unbelievably painful to read, it all the ways it should be. Absolutely incredible job.

I am so glad that it moved you. I think the ending, where things remained unfamiliar, speak to the consequences of Remus' actions - and I think he accepted them when he began erasing his memories, which, from what I can gather from canon and other sources, are easy to remove but near impossible to return. Thank you so much. ♥

Oh!OH!MY!GOD!!!Your wording is amazing! So direct and poignant and absolutely broke my heart.I loved the take on this, the way they both are damaged in the end,but in different ways. And seeing Remus feeling unfamiliar with Sirius's body and all of him just made me cry a little. :(

Those memories too,you managed to bring out their youthful, happy days back in such few lines, kudos to your writing!WOOOOOW!!

I wanted to show a variety of moments in their youth, from intimate to playful to a little bittersweet. I am so glad that those moments really shone for you and that you enjoyed the fic. Thank you so much! ♥

Remus did what he felt needed to be done, and carried it out. I think he knows very well what he can and cannot take, and there is a sense of self-preservation driving him that he can't ignore. (And I assure you, I feel terrible for what I've done to the poor man.) ♥

This fest is determined to break my heart over and over again and your is wonderful angst. I really love how Remus is deliberately losing his memories out of heartbreak and pain to the point where Sirius is unfamiliar to him while at the same time you point out how Sirius was losing memories too. And yet there is hope at the end for these two broken people. I also love your prose - it really evokes Remus' pain and why he want to forget.

I wanted to show the difference in their memory loss - Remus willingly gave his up, while Sirius' were taken from him. Thank you so much for your kind words. ♥

This was an incredibly poignant and painful and very well-written way of showing us Remus' suffering and the depth of how his memories hurt him. It gave me chills down my spine, in the way this was supposed to do. Most impressive and really great work! (Excuse me while I go fetch some tissues, aaaha!) <3

*offers handkerchief* Memories are repeatedly shown to be powerful things in the HP canon, and so, I think, is the lack of them. Remus' choice demonstrated the extent of his suffering after losing so much - keeping even the memories of what he had was too much to bear. Thank you so much; I'm so glad you enjoyed. ♥
