Now I'm actually a bit sad, because I've finished the last entry to the Games.

But such an adorable way to end it!

The boys in this fic are wonderful, and the dialogue is great. So sweet, very much in character and so boyish.
I started giggling quite a few times, like here:
He had, however, heard of Father Christmas. He never got anything from that worthy man because, mainly, his mother would never let the man in their house. He provided gifts to Muggles and, as far as Walburga Black was concerned, any magical person who seemed to enjoy dealing with Muggles on a consistent basis was not to be trusted.

I really like how in spite of being such a sweet story, there're hints of darker themes underneath as well, without ever disturbing the light atmosphere:
Sirius had a sneaking suspicion that the other reason Father Christmas never visited was that Sirius was never good enough for him to want to visit. He tried to be good, truly he did, but surely a good boy wouldn't need to be punished quite so often.
and
"How about your family?" ( ... )

We don't really celebrate Halloween in Poland so I don't know any Halloween-related stories. And it was the first time I've heard about Jack o'lantern. So I can perfectly understand Sirius! While reading it I was so curious! I wanted to know more and more about Jack and about Great Pumpkin. Your writing style is great and puppies are so in character! Great work. Thank you for writing this and introducing Halloween tradition to me:)

I have always loved Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin and now this story is it's equal. I love how Remus feels about Sirius choosing him as the friend to do this with instead of James. 7 year old Sirius is adorable. Drunk Hagrid and Dumbledore are so sweet. A true gem of a story, thanks for writing this, mystery author. Love it!!

What a sweet, adorable, story. I love Sirius’s innocence and hopefulness here, though my heart broke a little at him thinking he didn’t get presents from Father Christmas because he wasn’t good enough. Your characterization of all the boys was quite wonderful and very believable-from James’s being a little derisive in making fun of Sirius and Peter not believing in Father Christmas because James didn’t. I so loved the idea of them waiting in the pumpkin patch together for the Great Pumpkin to appear (and Sirius’s explanation about why James shouldn’t come along), and Dumbledore’s guest appearance at the end made me smile. I really, really enjoyed this.
