Such a lovely fairytale to read on a rainy, windy hurricane day. I loved the poetic elements of your language and all the canon characters who were so easily recognizable in your descriptions from Peter, Lily, Harry and James, to Molly, Snape and Dumbledore. And there were many fairy tale rules and elements and a great fairy tale world.

I think my favorite moment was the wolf's doubt when the prince first compliments him on the new shape. He would do anything for the prince even hide his wolf side forever but then the prince makes clear that he loves all the sides of the wolf, all his forms.

Beautiful. I like the tale telling a lot.

"I ask not for him but for his freedom.”
This is where you killed me but there were many beautiful sentences. (The only little criticism I could make is about the last sentence which, IMHO, lacks a little of strength...)

This is a legitimate fairy tale, from start to finish. Like, this could really be written by the Grimms. Every part was an allusion to the HP universe granted, but I could give this to anyone and they wouldn't even know. I hope that comes across as a compliment because that's how it was meant. You kept the essence of each character well.

I died of happiness a little when the wolf was transformed into a man. I probably should have seen it coming but it ended up as a pleasant surprise.

Great job!!!

I SO loved this. As others have said, the story really does capture the essence and magic of fairy tales in a truly authentic way, from your structure to the language to the use of fairy tale tropes like the enchanted sleep, the quest, settings, archetypal characters, etc. But even though you use the fairy tale genre very well, the story is also very much your own. The deep love between the prince and the wolf is conveyed so strongly, and as others have said, you worked in HP characters in a way that fit perfectly within the fairy tale world you created. I love that Remus was able to take the shape of a man but that Sirius said both forms were beloved to him-and the allusion to sex at the end was really well done! I actually really loved the ending-not only Sirius's words to Remus, full of humor & love, but also the last sentence, which struck just the right note for me because of the way you put your own phrasing around it.
