I think you're a genious. How you made the story work *without* it being an AU is simply brilliant. How Sirius forces Remus to live with him... and of course, Remus already knows his Beast and then again, they don't know each ohter anymore. You even keep the part where Beauty goes to see her sick father and promess to come back!
And I loved how Remus doesn't realize he's living his favorite fairy tale till after. And how he gets (they get) to be happy, for once, for a little while.
I'm telling you. A genious!

Fav quotes:
because the Beauty had to get to know the Beast. She went to live with him to save her father and the Beast gave her many books to read. To Remus Lupin, even at six years old, that kind of love made the most sense, a love that was based on knowing someone and not just love at first sight or first kiss when someone is sleeping.
*Yes*!

it never occurred to him even when he read the story to his newly born son right before his own death, that when he lived his own fairy tale a few years earlier at the age of thirty ( ... )

This was perfect. Great use of the prompt. Such a perfect blend of fairytale and canon. I always like when Remus has a harder time taking Sirius back right away. It's obvious he wants to but there is a lot of history to overcome.

It took Sirius a little more than a month to make a new move in operation “Woo Moony.” Remus supposed that’s what he probably called it because Sirius was always ridiculous.

This is so what he would call it. ;)

this was a great fic. You really embodied the prompt so well. Half the time i felt like i was reading a fairy tale :)

And it was lovely and so very bittersweet.

And he got his happily ever after again, if just for a little while.

This is that line is the one that stuck in my head.

It is not like Remus didn’t want to see Sirius. When he first saw him after Sirius’ long imprisonment at Azkaban on that terrible - and wonderful - evening at the Shrieking Shack a year ago, Remus was ecstatic. Seeing Sirius again made him feel like he was fifteen once more. Knowing that Sirius was not guilty of killing all his friends lifted a big weight off Remus’ shoulders. He had always felt guilty for continuing to love Sirius while loathing him, and now he didn’t have to hate him.that was really adorable. no. it was more than adorable. it was very sweet, but it was also an extremely realistic way of looking at their relationship. i agree with the other person who said that they like it when remus doesn't take sirius back immediatlely. that makes much more sense to me. after all, he was hurt by the whole thing, too, and would likely be afraid of losing him again and thus hurting himself. you really had their characters down, too. everyone felt very right and in character ( ... )
