I adored this fic. It's such a great concept for a fic and then I loved how you dealt with their memory problems. And your dialogue was so very perfect. I loved:

"Which means," Sirius said, leaning over the table, "that it's time to do the thing where I ask you out and you say no and I say please and you stare at my lips and I stare at you and the sexual tension escalates until you flee and I'm left cold."

"Must we?" Remus looked up. "I'm not really into it today."

This is like my favorite version of Sirius asking Remus out ever.

I loved how these little flashes of memory kept coming back to them and how James seemed to remember more than the rest of them. And it was so great how they were all freaked out over the fact that there was magic in their lives.

WOW, this is fascinating! I spent most of the story utterly unsure what kind of AU I was in here (magic or Muggle, somehow connected to canon or entirely not?) but I mean that in the best possible way - I was breathless with the suspense and absolutely had to keep reading. The ending was perfect, the mystery finally revealed in the last moments - and as soon as it was revealed, it seemed so obvious that I should have seen it coming, but I absolutely didn't!

The casual dialogue interspersed (talking about dragons, then talking about what's for lunch...) gives this a light, wonderfully surreal touch, a kind of magical realism aspect to the characters taking these very odd things (almost) in stride.

What an absolutely brilliant AU, and masterfully written.

this was absolutely magical! that is saying something too, considering the muggle-type setting. it was so compelling, too! i could not tear my eyes away from the screen even to reach for my tea. it reminded me of something, perhaps a movie. it was like what that m. night shymalon would write if he wrote fan fic and he didn't suck. in other words, it had tensions and a twist. this is what people who don't like fan fic should read to make them like fan fic!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Also I'm LOL'ing a little at the M Night Shyamalan (sp?) comparison! XD

Ooh, this is great. It's got a wonderful, dreamlike quality, I loved all the dialogue between Remus and Sirius, and you really can't argue with that happy ending.

I really loved this!
I loved the way you built your story, with how Remus felt reality wasn't real around him and all the weird things they couldn't explain. It was such a great concept that led us to a very clever and very satisfying ending, both within this story as an explanation to what was happening, and as an alternative ending to beloved characters.
I also loved the way you told the story, the dialogue and descriptions, and the way you showed us just enough to create this atmosphere and this world.
Great work!
