Title: When You Wake Up You Will Find Me

Summary: Why are some moments in life never recorded? The moments where we sit and think and speak very little with those around us; those are not the moments we would have written down, yet they are perhaps the most telling. Three days in a year; two memories from the past; two moments in a future. These things tell us a little about Sirius Black.
Notes: This piece became, to my surprise, my Everest. Somehow, I scaled it and came out the other end, but I couldn't have made that journey (not to be cheesy), without certain people. Those people include those who beta'd for me (you know who you are, L especially, and I've thanked you a million times already, though you deserve a million more for putting up with me) and those who continually cheered me on (again, you know who you are, D especially, and again, I am eternally thankful). Lastly, I would like to say that this is the most personal story I've ever written in fandom; it's got more of my own style and feeling in it than any other, but I am also aware that it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I've come to terms with that, but to whoever gives it a go, thank you for reading. All mistakes are my own; anything you recognise from the Harry Potter series does not belong to me.
