Keep in mind that while I tried to be as historically, regionally, and grammatically accurate as possible I did take a few liberties.
There are a few historical points of note that I feel would be spoilers, so I’m including them at the end of the fic. However, one thing you should know is that in the US in the late 1930’s homosexuality was considered a mental illness and many laws were passed against it. In some places, if you were caught, you could be thrown in jail.
