Memo and Question

 I'm posting this part here as a reminder to myself: Today (Saturday) was a WONDERFUL Jack day!

Also, Jack's birthday is this weekend. I've had people ask me what to buy him. Is there a tactful way to say that we like secondhand gifts so don't feel like you have to go out and buy something new and expensive?

how about something like, oh gosh he's got so many toys/books/clothes already and he grows out of them so fast. Maybe if you have something lying around that was once cherished (you know like a favorite book/shirt or something) that's no longer being used, you might be willing to part with it?

Would that work?

Oh, and happy birthday to Jack!!

Yeah, that's kind of what I went with. This whole gift-giving thing is so stressful.
