Only 6 similarities is very generous especially when they don't even include...

"Newbie heroes watch death of guy they just met at the hands of the villain chasing them throughout the film."

Honestly, I want a way of running both films at the same time to see if everything happens at the same time in both.

The Entertainment Weekly article that I had mentioned eventually found at least 18 similarities between "The Force Awakens" and "A New Hope" (along with the other two OT flicks).
