hi, i wandered here from we_are_lost.

i can't say anything about ana-lucia, and why she wasn't in the church, but i read that the actor who played mr. eko wanted five times more money than they were offering to come back for the finale. that doesn't excuse why they didn't make some kind of explanation in the episode, but that's why he wasn't there.
also, i think that walt wasn't dead yet, and that might be why he wasn't there? i mean, if they were all waiting for each of them to "get it," then why didn't they wait for him, too? but, i don't know. or why ji-yeon wasn't there...

also, you spelled Lindelof wrong. just so you know.

/2 cents.

One answer I think I can give you:

and Nadia Jazeem, who was the love of Sayid Jarrah’s life, was not. Why?I thought about that. Did Sayid actually love Shannon more than Nadia? I don't think so. What I came up to explain it was that Sayid loved Nadia so much he wanted her to be happy and, in his personal Limbo, that meant married to a good man (his brother, who he probably thought was better than him) and a mother ( ... )

As for Michael, yeah, I have no idea why he was there. My first thought was that he was like Ana Lucia and he didn't let go.

I never bought the argument that Ana Lucia could not let go. Her two epiphanies in "The Whole Truth" and "Two For the Road" seemed to contradict that argument.

Maybe he'll let go with her and Ben later. But I did miss him in the final scene, or at least an explanation.

Considering that Ana-Lucia's state of mind seemed to hint strongly that she was ready to go before her death, this explanation that she "wasn't ready" does not make sense to me . . . and is one I cannot accept. And Michael's state of mine before his death in "There's No Place Like Home II" clearly seemed to indicate that he was ready to face death. I think that Cuse and Lindehof are full of it. And they're handling of Ana and Michael's characters during this last season is an indication of sloppy storytelling on their part.
