Oh good I'm glad this movie was good. I heard a lot of mix reviews about this movie. You addressed them all very will and I'll try to get into to see this flick.

Yes I enjoyed the movie too. Was never a reader of the Jack Reacher novels so it was a fresh event for me. You mention David Oyelowo's pretty good American accent. With so many British and Australian actors playing Americans on tv and film these days, how DO they, in your opinion, fare with the accent(s) in general? There are more and more American actors who can render a pretty good British accent. Even doing Cornish, or north country accents pretty well. Certainly seems to me that actors are getting better at accents than they were in the past. Good accent coaches do you think? A South African accent seems to be one of the hardest, and I was really impressed with Leo deCaprio's accent in "Blood Diamond". Though I haven't heard an American do a decent Australian accent yet!! :)
