[[It should be noted that the Second Doctor in this timeline is a post-War-Games Doctor, and that he is traveling with an older Victoria, whom he picked up from Earth some time after The Three Doctors. That said, on with the show.]]
"It's no good," grumbled the Doctor at last. "Most of it is all right, but the vortex stabilizer (
requires an extra part that I don't have.'' )

Jo Grant peered back down the corridor in vain. The Doctor had vanished, around a corner, into a back room, somewhere. "One trip, just like the old days he said," Jo muttered to herself. "Come with me, he said!" She started walking back towards where the TARDIS had materialised. "It's just like I remembered, I suppose. Look on the bright side Jo, at least you aren't getting forgetful in your old age!"
Turning a corner, she spotted the familiar blue and rushed over to it as the door began to open. "Doctor! Thank goodness, I was almost worried... Doctor?"

"Good heavens," he exclaimed, wringing her hand in delight. "Why, it's Miss Grant! But--"
For a moment he thought the TARDIS's instruments had gone haywire and landed them back in UNIT. A quick look around disproved that notion. The semi-circular corridor where the TARDIS sat was very mundane, but the tachyonic locks on the access panels couldn't have come from any earlier than the twenty-second century.
"Whatever," asked the Doctor, "are you doing all the way out here?"

She quickly peered around the TARDIS, hoping to see another, or was it the same? The corridor was disappointing however and only held empty space. "I can't seem to find him though, he was just behind me."

"Dear, dear, this isn't good," he muttered. "Two of us in one place... and I can't move until I fix my TARDIS. If we should come together, it could be a disaster!" He peered around again, running a hand through his hair. "Is there anyone on board this ship?"
