here. The Doctor crawled out of the rude tent, emitted a gaping yawn, and stretched his aching limbs. Some kind soul had left him a bucket of water; he dipped his finger in, snatching it out in shock at the burning cold. There was nothing for it, though. With a grimace at the impending discomfort, he slapped a bit at his unruly hair,

"Well, Jamie, it looks like we have a bit of a fight on our hands. Do you happen to know where the Doctor is, just now?"
The Brigadier took out his revolver and cocked it. He didn't know what these things were, but they weren't friendly, and he had enough ammo to take down a few of them--and with a little luck, scare off the rest.

"He was in the TARDIS the last I knew! I thought he was out here, but it was the wee lass!" One of the creatures lunched at the young Scott and he ducked and rolled, avoiding the powerful clawed feet. The highlander came to his feet, swiping it with his knife. The beastie howled, spinning on the lad, and made another lunge.

Then suddenly he felt a vicious blow on the head, that sent him staggering into another blow. He fired randomly in the direction the blows seemed to be coming from, but by the time the shot rang out he was already falling to ground unconcious.

Jamie chanced a glance in the Brigadier's direction to see the man collapse to the ground, unconscious. The highlander growled, and drove himself head first into the gut of the gloating being looming over the Brigadier’s body. No monster or alien devil was going to get away with injuring any of his allies….
The being gasped, and stumbled backward, taking Jamie and itself to the ground in a tangle of limbs and flying fists.
((ooc squee, I so love Jamie, he has wonderful thugish tendencies))

A man was being hauled up off the ground and placed over one of the strange creatures. It's master only regarded Ben briefly before mounting the thing and ridding off.
The other alien things closed in around the Scott's boy.
"Jamie!" Ben shouted, racing toward the boy and yanking the creature off of him. And slamming his fist into what he thought was its face. "Were in hell is the Govner?"

"How should I know, Duchess?" Ben snapped looking down at the pretty dark-haired girl he was helping over to the Louis the XIV chair in front of the counsel. For the last hour they had been wandering around the TARDIS looking for the Doctor. Their explorations finally lead them to the control room, when they heard a pounding on the doors. "It's all right, Miss.,” he said, helping the girl to sit. He strayed a glance to Polly, who had joined his side.

"I'm -- I'm Victoria Waterfield," she said meekly. "But who are you? And what are you doing in the TARDIS?"

"I'm Polly, this is Ben. It's all right, you safe here." She looked around the counsel room. "I know this place is a bit overwhelming, but nothing is going to hurt you here. "
