[And here's Namine, looking up and side to side with a slightly overwhelmed expression. She's being dwarfed by the large bookcase in front of her, as the girl just decided to take a look in the library to find something to read. There are two medium sized books clutched against her chest, but when she glances down at them, she doesn't look so sure ( Read more... )

Not really no. As long as you don't go out too deep, you'd be fine.

[Hi, Nami. Have a friendly Aerith giving you a sweet smile.]

I enjoy reading fairy tales, legends, and myths. They are very good reads, but I'm not sure it's consider something normal to read.

[She thinks about a selection.] I believe many people enjoy reading anything fictional with adventure, mystery, or even romance. Everyone has many different tastes that it's hard to tell what's normal or not. It really depends on the person's tastes.

[And she gives a little smile back, to be polite. She thinks for a moment though.] I'm... not really sure what my tastes are though.

But... what are fairy tales like?

If that's the case, then you should start reading books of all types to figure out which you enjoy to read. You won't know until you try~

[She thinks about a good way to explain fairy tales because she really has a love for them. One of the few things that keeps her mother's memory alive and fresh.]

Weeeeell, fairy tales are wonderful stories taken place in mystical worlds. Every story has a problem and the characters find a way to solve it in very unique ways. Other fairy tales talk about the prince rescueing his princess by defeating the villian or the princess protects her prince. All fairy tales have happy endings for the characters unless the character is a villian, of course. [She giggles happily and tilts her head.]

Fairy tales are usually for children, but I enjoy reading them before I sleep. Even Cloud falls asleep whenever I finish reading one.

[She's looking off camera while listening and sounds pretty distant when she speaks. The second definition sounds all a little too familiar for her.] Maybe I'll take a look at some.

[Remembering Namine from their brief encounter not too long ago, Ramza was a tad surprised to see the girl again. He figured that Namine was the kind of person who liked to keep to herself, but it seems she possesses a bit of social grace after all.]

Hm...

I'm not exactly sure, but many of the townsfolk within Gariland were fond of reading fiction.

[A little smile for you Ramza, cause she remember you. But then a bliiiink and a head tilt.] Gariland?

[He nods.] Yes, the Magick City of Gariland is known to be a hub for scholars and avid readers alike. Within the academy I studied within, many of the students were fond of fiction rather than non-fiction works.

I suppose this is because they wanted to escape from the harshness of the reality we knew in favor of a whimsical fantasy world.

[A tired sigh. She's not looking at the camera and her voice sounds distant again.] Maybe. Sometimes fantasies are the only way people can cope with reality.

If you wish to know of the documents I 'read', they are nothing but parchment prepared for my signature and shortly returned to the Senate.

... I see. [Forgive her, but she's such a derp when it comes to politics. So, unfortunately, she really doesn't understand it.]

Everything.

When I was your [approximate mental] age, I liked myths and plays. A book on those languages so you can read other books. History. Math.

....we don't have a school, do we.

[Hmph. They're going to have kids around everywhere.]

[Mental age Kefka? <.<]

...What kind of plays? [She has this little feeling that she shouldn't be asking him about it, but you really spiked her curiosity this time you crazy clown.]

No, we don't but... [mumblemumble.] that's okay.

[Mentally a young adult.]

Lots! Modern opera, classic plays, ancient satire...

[Tch.] Because all the kids are artificial. [Well, at least he can confirm that.]

Oh- [Classic plays sounds like her style, really. She would thank you and look into it later but...

Well right now she extremely freaked out by the second statement. Not that he can see, but anyone else in the library would probably see a paler, frightened Namine standing there.]
