Where might one with idle hands make themselves useful?

[There is a light pensive hum. Seymour's been thinking, you see-- and has had a lot of time to do so.]If I am to remain here for an indefinite amount of time, I would prefer to do more than simply take up space. Perhaps with the various businesses sprouting up and some apparently recent ( Read more... )

You could try one of the guilds.

I may just do that. What is there, if I may ask?

Black Mage, White Mage, Warrior and Jack-of-All-Trades.

Oh, and don't listen to Kefka. White Mage is boring~.

I see. An interesting selection.

Perhaps-- but I believe I can make that decision for myself. Being a White Mage may not be the most exciting role, but it is an important one nonetheless.

Forget the guilds, they suck!

But if you have to, White Mage is better. The old boss of it is MIA and you've got healing skills, don't you?

If not, I can always use a hand at the clothing shop! Since it's raining Spirans, you could help me make some lovely Spiran shirts!

Hm.

That does sound more in my area of expertise. I am a mage, after all-- and I indeed know a wide range of White Magic. [Such a role sounds harmless and unassuming enough-- and would do nicely.]

With that said, I certainly would not mind lending a hand regardless. I am no good with a sewing needle, I admit, but I may be able to lend you designs.

You could be a big help to everyone!

[What would people do once their white mage turned evil?]

I'd love to make more outfits! You can help me pick fabrics too!

That was indeed my intention. How might I go about this, then? And... is there no one else in line? Naturally, I do not wish to step on any toes.

[Oh, he doesn't think of it that way. It's a fitting role for a savior, don't you think~? ...Even if his idea of healing is a far cry from casting Cure.]

Ah, I would be honored. Do you wish to arrange a schedule or shall I stop by whenever?

[His eyes narrow suspiciously. Quite an extraordinary leap in demeanor towards him since the last they'd met.]

Nor I, you. [And it's throwing a wrench in his plans, her and one of her Guardians being here. A shame he's not had the chance to earn the townsfolk's trust yet...] So quick to abandon your convictions? Or does your graciousness truly know no bounds?

I'm helping out Roxas at the cafe! We could always use an extra hand for waiting tables or cleaning up after closing.

[ Probably because he really doesn't want to do a whole lot of the cleaning himself. ]

I see. If I am unable to keep occupied with the previous recommendations, I will most certainly stop by. Thank you, young sir. [Pause, then if only to be polite:] Ah-- Sora, wasn't it?

Sounds good to me! But whatever will keep your hands filled is probably good, too. [ He laughs a little as if indicating the thank you. ] Yup, that's me!

My thoughts precisely. --Very good, then. Once I visit cafe, I'll be sure to ask for you specifically. You've been most helpful.
