It was 24 hours until the finish of the trial and the Jury deciding what happens to me...I wasn't even near ready for this. I mean my life was hanging in the balance and all because I defended myself against a man who was horrible and a murderer...but I am the one about to go to jail for protecting myself. Somehow this just didn't seem fair or

I was about to make sure Angelina was okay, then Angel suggested with his eyes that I should go check out the door. Alright. I didn't feel like anything evil was out there, so that was good, right?

I walked over, looking out the door and seeing Julie. Great, was I glad to see her. I needed to talk to her about what Angelina and I talked about earlier. Of course, if she was really going to jail, then that talk would be useless.

"Hey, girl, what you doin' around here? You okay?"

"Hey...you do not belong in jail, Julie. This whole thing is so wrong...seems like you and I just can't catch a break in life...but hey, we stick together, at least we'll have each other to talk to and commiserate with...right?"

I really like her. She reminded me of Fred in some ways...and she was just a nice girl, who happened to be a slayer, and she was just so sweet and making me feel all better.

"You just have to keep your chin up and be positive...and I'll be there to help you do that."

"You will come visit?"

I asked softly as I pulled away from him and walked over to the window looking out.

I wanted to ask him if we could go somewhere, but I don't think he would want to being as it was dark and all.

"Sure, I'll come visit you. I won't lie, I like you. I've been happier in the few minutes we've spent together today than I have been since...well for a long time...I can't imagine not seeing you just because you're behind bars..."

I shook my head. "I wish there was something I could do...this whole thing seems like such an injustice..."

"There is one thing you can do..if you feel up to it."

I said he gave me a funny look and I smiled.

"There is somewhere I want to go..you know after we eat, if you don't mind that is."

"Not a problem. We can go where ever you want to go, girl." I said, hoping the pizza came soon, I sure was hungry.

"Right now, why don't we sit on the couch and watch some tv? I've got cable, with tons of channels, including all the movie ones."

"You know to be honest..not much of a TV person. Probably comes with never watching one or ever seeing a movie."

I said softly just as I was about to go into my speech about why there was a knock at the door. Saved by the knock..I think.

I paid for the pizza and we sat down on my couch and started to eat.

"So you've never watched TV or seen a movie? Wow...it was your dad, wasn't it...man...I'm sorry...but hey, we can watch some right now, get you newly acquainted with the current tv and movie culture."

Of course, we only had this one night, but I would do what I could to make it memorable for her.

"Yes it was my dad...You really have no clue what he did to me do you?"

He said he knew some and I sighed

"He would keep me chained up and he pimped me out to whoever paid or gave him what he wanted. When he wasn't doing that he was taking his turn on me. It was all I knew aside from school and Edward"

I ate slowly thinking about this

"You know I used to only get to eat at school. He wouldn't feed me, and when I was kept home for extended times I would go without..I really had become used to it..now I am shocked if I go 2 hours without eating."

I smiled a bit.

I smiled at her. "Hey, it's good you have a healthy appetite now. If somehow you don't go to jail, I'm going to show you all the things you missed, formally introduce you to the world..."

I ate some more pizza. "It's too bad what happened to you though...I admire you for living through it, you are such a strong person, you know that? You deserve to have a good life..."

I smiled at him as we finished off the pizza

"Thank you..though I don't feel strong."

I looked at him and started to say something several times but couldn't get it out. I just kind of watched him not being able to say a word.

"Well believe me, you are. So...where did you want to go?" I said as she became a bit shy. It was cute.

"I'm up for just about anything, well except demons and vampires...just tell me where to go and I shall escort there."
