After a bit of a break due to the holidays... the discussion question(s) this week is regarding one of our featured games - thedressingroom and characterisation.

If your characters participate in thedressingroom - Do you keep your characters ic or allow them more freedom? Is it easier or more challenging to stay ic around characters from other fandoms? Do you find that there ( Read more... )

I refuse to go out of character. This is why if I ever want to talk about my RPG but not do it in character, I do it on our shared player journal. It's just this thing I have. But ummm, it's easy enough to stay in character, because I have a shtick to live by, so.

All of my characters stay IC in TDR, whether they talk with characters from different fandoms or not. I think there's similar characterisation to some extent, but everyone has a different take on every character, so they're not going to be exactly the same.

I've been trying to keep mine IC but I mostly pick characters I can have a little more freedom with. I try to use their House characteristics to create their personality but sometimes I need a little push towards IC.

I've seen a lot of different characters with different personalities. Most of it is depending on the type of RPG. Some are completely crack so it's fun to watch.
