You wake up to a white room. Chalk white, sterile, lifeless. Empty, except for you.
You find others. Discover that you are not the only one that was brought here, that is kept here, that cannot leave. Discover what you are here for, why they brought you here. Because you are insane, a danger to yourself and others. Because you need help. Because they can help you.
Or so they say.
They tell you that everything they do is for your sake, that everything you have to go through will help you get better. Closer to being sent home. Then why, just why do you get the feeling that all they do, that she does, only gets you closer to your breaking point?
She. Linda. Your only contact to the world outside of the patient's quarters. Your only contact to the doctors. Only she will talk to you, and only she will listen to you. Does she? Does she even have feelings? It does not seem so - she is a computer system, after all. At least she isn't the only one you'll meet. Bound together with the other inmates. Your character has been taken from their home world, with their memories, and been ported directly into a copy of The Oregon Trail video game alongside other characters. Their fate has been placed into the hands of an all-mighty and faceless master player, who pulls the strings and directs their wagon train with a nerdy malice across the treacherous terrain of the Oregon trail. However, your character does not know this. All they know is that they've woken up in a dusty wagon alongside some complete strangers by the howling of exhausted oxen and, for some strange reason, they're in 1800s America. Life can end in the blink of an eye... and yours just did.
Thusia is a panfandom, jamjar, semi-dark, survival-style roleplaying game on Dreamwidth that can only be reached by the dead. Upon a character's untimely death they are dropped into a castle that's been overrun by dangerous wildlife. They must work together to retake these new headquarters and make sacrifices to the local gods in the form of actions they find most pleasing. In exchange, the gods provide everything from modern day creature comforts to healing and life.
We accept Alternate Universe characters, as well as Original characters. Applications are currently open.
Game begins December 16th.
