Since Lovestruck seems to be dying, shall we get started on ideas for another all-guys game?

Here's the thread brought up in the last discussion which had some, in my opinion, really nice ideas, especially in regards to the setting being "an idyllic resort town, with retro tech and layout, set in a far-futuristic world":

I rather like the "religious taboo" idea for why there'd be no ladies about. It sounds intriguing enough that I'd be tempted to check it out even though I don't care for guy-guy romance.

"An idyllic resort town, with retro tech and layout, set in a far-futuristic WORLD and peopled/staffed by a variety of people (the player characters) who believe themselves to have come from all kinds of backgrounds, worlds, and times? Ultra-rich people from the outside futuristic setting pay to visit this resort and interact with all of the strange and fascinating people there -- not necessarily having the PCs be hosts or sex workers, although there'd probably be that option open. Just having it be essentially the futuristic meatspace equivalent of "what if you could meet all your favorite characters in person ( ... )

Anon who came up with that idea here. I'm considering going ahead and making it into a game, since there seems to be interest and the other all-male romance game idea's apparently going down...

Details will follow when I get things written! That said, who here would be interested in apping at a game that basically follows the above premise?

What's your take on FtM and intersex characters being in the setting if you're going to go with the "religious taboo against mixing of the sexes"?

My current position is that any male-identified character is welcome, and in keeping with the theme (and also to open the place up to characters like, say, dragons, Transformers, aliens, etc. without totally breaking the setting) all characters arriving in the city will find themselves in a human male body.

The people running the town say it's a mysterious but inevitable consequence of their interdimensional kidnapping machine. Their story should probably be taken with a grain of salt.

That said, I'd like to note that I'm not trans* and I don't want to put my foot in it and upset or offend anyone through ignorance; I know this is an issue that's come up with single-gender games more than once, and if anyone has advice or suggestions I'm 100% open to hearing them and adapting.

Just to let you know, this is what caused the huge transwank with Lovestuck. The fact that a lot of characters are put into male bodies without any other options made a lot of people uncomfortable.

Personally, I think it would be better if there was an option IC or OOC for players to choose if a FtM or intersex character could get a sex change.

That does sound like a superior option; I think I have some rewriting to do.
