I mainly focus on the light novel medium (since some translations are readily available now), so that's where I pull my characterization from, however I invite any advice that pertains to this character. Thank you.

Mainly I need help with her speech pattern although general advice (and which novels in general to poke at!) would be a tremendous amount of help too.

And as a odd question I guess, with the game being set in the US, and most characters being japanese-illiterate, would Celty have problems communicating? Originally being Irish would that translate into (at least slightly) understanding/writing English or not?
