With the new Days canon included. I don't think it makes too much of a difference but I'd like to hear what anons think.

Actually, it makes a big difference depending on how you were playing him before. It also depends on what time point he's taken from. Contrary to previously established belief (thanks, Nomura), Axel isn't all that cunning or smooth. Everything in Chain of Memories? An act. So don't blend too much of that into your regular play unless he's completely and constantly surrounded by people he doesn't trust. Sure, he knows how to work with what he's got at hand, but it's hard to imagine that he planned Castle Oblivion out all ahead of time. He got the orders, went, and killed them all on short notice. He's not snarky all the time. I'd argue that he isn't even snarky most of the time. He has his wry moments but mostly he comes off as a regular guy
