Oh! I like it, it's like just ... pieces, but I think the characterization is nice. Formal, but still human. Plus, I love the acid wit. Miss Swann smiled politely, and young Will frowned--a trifle much, Captain Norrington reflected; a trifle much.

And I love the interactions between Cpt. Norrington & his officers, and James and the preacher. And you mentioned his hat! I'm very pleased. :) Thank you!
