Talked Mike into watching "Can-Can" (1960) last night, which was a surprise - he's not exactly a big movie musical fan. (I believe a young Shirley MacLaine was the draw for him.) Stupid Fox Movie channel - the DVR recording cut off the last two minutes of the film! :-(

We always extend the recording time on the start and finish. It means ff'ing thru more ads but we don't lose those bits. I learned my lesson when TCM ran a Looney Tunes special day and I missed important bits of 6 hrs worth of stuff. grr

Yep, we recorded the Looney Tunes off TCM too, and it cut the ending off of every. single. cartoon. Infuriating!

Recently, we've not had this problem at all, so I ASSumed the broadcasters got their acts together. But I was wrong.
