[Tiana is currently hanging out in the store, rummaging through clothing. She is wearing a full-out ballgown (you can see it portrayed in her icon), although her tiara and necklace are set neatly aside. She clears her throat, looking at the open journal.]Excuse me? I hate to bother y'all, but it looks like the only clothes they've left that are ( Read more... )

It's all free, lady. Find a pair of clothes you want? Take it off the rack. Find an empty apartment? Haul your ass on in. Pretty cut and dry.

[Everything being free is very boggling to someone who's worked all her life to scrape up enough money to buy herself a restaurant. But she's not about to complain about it if it means more winter clothes.]

I don't have to talk to anyone about moving in, then? No one's in charge of any of the buildings?

Not as near as I can tell. I just picked an empty room and took it.

Well, I guess that makes things a lot easier for me. I reckon these apartments have kitchens? [Someone is eager to get back to cooking!]

Just arrived. [And now she's looking through their selection of sweaters and serviceable skirts. Something warm and sensible is what she's looking for.] So far the people seem welcoming enough, though.

[I think I just made the assumption that this was action. XD]

Folks I need to watch out for? Aside from the ones that kidnapped us, then?

Well, a gentleman informed me that Building 2, 6, and 7 have rooms to choose from, if that's a help to you. Can I ask your name, since we might just be livin' together?

[If she's been to the welcome center, she's bound to have met Martel (and been fed by her), so is it safe to assume as much?] Oh, of course not. If you'd like, I can assist you in finding your own place to stay.

Oh, I wouldn't want t' be a bother to you, since you're working here with all these other new people.

It's no trouble, I assure you.

Both clothing and housing are free, as long as no one else has laid a claim to any of it. I know I have supplies from the shops that weren't 'mine', but no one's come looking for them, either, so it should be fine..and you can always give them back and try again if it becomes a problem.

I will say you might want to get yourself a set of kitchen ware, especially if you end up in one of the community buildings and on a floor by yourself; usually, those apparently aren't included in the deal, for some reason. Or at least they weren't for me.

I'm looking forward to shopping for that kitchen ware. Do they have a good selection here, and where to I buy them?

Well, they're serviceable at least. Don't expect anything fancy like copper bottoms or no stick surfaces, though.

You can find them in the general store.

Oh, I don't need anything fancy. [She's had to make do for years, so why start complaining now? sure, the restaurant has spoiled her, but she can still use regular pots and pans to cook! Just so long as there's a nice, big pot for gumbo.] I'm gonna have to check that grocery for some supplies, then. Hopefully they have the right spices. They do carry spices outside of salt and pepper, right? [They're kidnappers, after all, for all she knows they just supply basic needs. And honestly, spices aren't one of those basic needs. Or they aren't for people who aren't natural born foodies like Tiana.]
