Title: Water
Fic-For-All Pairing: Chao-Ahn, Lady Deathstrike (X-men Movieverse)
Author’s Notes: The element Water is associated with the season Winter and the life stage death (which is a strange “life phase” if you ask me).
Summary:…now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Mrs. Harker was gone.

She said the Chao-Ahn’s Watcher wouldn’t understand about her being a vampire and perhaps she was right.

Still, Chao-Ahn was utterly unprepared for the elegant Asian woman who knocked on her door.

Even more unprepared for her hissed cry of “Mutant!” and the razor-sharp nails swinging at her face.

Mina would have been proud of her as she took only a moment to react, catching the woman with a swift kick to the gut, diving across the room for an axe.

She hadn’t even hesitated to swing it, though it had done little good, slicing through the skin of the woman’s neck only to clang against something deep within her and go no further.

The blood poured out and the woman swayed a bit, amazingly, still alive. Luckily, she was dazed enough to be pushed off the balcony.

Chao-Ahn was still leaning over the railing, shivering and watching where the woman had vanished into the night, when he arrived.

“I am coming to journey you toward America.” His Cantonese was terrible.

“My teacher is gone, my family has forgotten me - There is nothing for me here. I’m ready,” she said knowing he didn’t understand a word.

END.

Concluding Notes: Please don’t ask how a Bible verse worked as summary lines for this little series, but it really did. The chapter summaries are 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 (KJV).

END SERIES.
