hehe Mal's one to talk in this case. I liked this, nice to hear what may have happened after the Shindig with everyone who Kaylee charmed :)

Yeah, but Mal wouldn't see it that way - only everyone else, everywhere, throughout all time. :D

I always thought those old codgers from Shindig would want to keep in touch with Kaylee and it was fun imagining how that might play out!

Glad you liked. River is tons of fun to write because one can picture her doing just about anything with enough explanation in the text. :D

In this case, I think she saw exactly what that one word did to her brother and decided it was a much needed kick in the pants. Thanks for leaving a note!!

Hee! I love the idea of the grandpa-esque men enlisting Kaylee's help and being referred to as boyfriends. And I could definitely picture River, she's a really difficult character to write, but you have her spot-on.

River is a toughie and it means a lot that you think I got her right here.

And I can totally see Kaylee being hosted by a string of admirers every time they return to Persephone. After all, dinner and a few tons of fresh strawberries is a small price to pay for really good ship advice!
