Thanks so much and I am glad you enjoyed this! I actually think facets_of_Faith has one of THE most complete F/G libraries on the web. If you are looking sometime, check out the pairing tag over there. A few are mine, but quite a few were also written for me for my birthday a few years back. My boyfriend at the time went on a quest to get everyone to write Faith/Giles for me and I think he managed to double the number of Faith/Giles fics in existance in a single day. :D

*laughs* Note I said "boyfriend at the time". We are no more. :P

And I KNOW!! There have to be a few over here I never posted over there, because I have 7 on this archive. I am not doing too well this week am I? The link was broken, I seem to have NO clue how many F/G fics are at Facets. *sigh* I give up.

wow... I'd never really thought of a Faith/Giles relationship... But once you pointed it out, I see how very perfect it is...

There are a lot of pretty darn perfect relationship pairings - most are the ones BTVS never considered.

Buffy is perhaps THE best fandom for maximum number of possible pairings. There are so many excellent character development moments between nearly all the characters and it's easy to see how relationships could work with nearly everyone.

I love Miss Faith and, personally, have never been a huge fan of Giles/Buffy (though the pairing makes sense and I have read excellent fics pairing them). For me, the darker side of Giles and some of the difficult choices he's made (like the end of Season 5) establishes such similarities between him and Faith. Of all people, he would understand some of her less warm and fuzzy qualities and he seems the sort she could actually grow to love (a rare thing for her). Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review! Made my day!!

I'm glad I could make your day; I write too, so I understand all about wanting feedback (I write primarily original fics, but occasionally delve into fanfic - though none of my fanfics are finished - nor, come to think of it, most of my original fics!).

anyway, the relationship I'd actually really like to see with Faith (because yes, she's one of my favorite characters!) is Willow, post-seventh season... I want/like to see fics of their ride back from LA because I think the two of them really came a long way from their initial relationship in season 3...

I also find those fics that show "the stuff you didn't see" between Faith and Buffy in the third season - the subtext being off-screen text... That's also pretty interesting (mostly because I've seen it work rather believably).

And now I'm rambling, mostly because I'm avoiding writing my paper.

Hmm...Faith & Willow - romantic or just in general? Either way - there is a lot of complexity there to explore. In Season 7 they have both been through quite a bit and sadly on-screen they are both pretty distracted and we don't see much interaction.

I love writing Willow and have no deep aversion to write femmeslash. Hmm....might have to give this one a spin someday.

*grins* I can see a wedding with these two (as I am a bit of a traditionalist myself) but in the frame of this universe...I think they would both be too focused on the fact every day could be their last to get around to it and eventually would decided why bother. :D

Ah, this is lovely. The Faith/Giles pairing is one of my favourites, and you do an excellent job of it, working through all their hang-ups and such.

Many thanks! I giggled when I saw your user icon - I have your Giles/Jenny open in another window as my breakfast reading! Expect a review soon!

Faith/Giles is so fun to write and I am always shocked there isn't more of it out there. I am actually in the process of working on a Masterlist of EVERYTHING I can find for this pairing - which sad to say is only about 40 stories.

Two Questions:
1) Have you written any and would you mind linking me to it so I can include it?

and

2) Would you be interested in a getting a head's up when I get the list posted (looking like January with the way my Dec is going.)? Though I think I will be posted both to my Faith Community, facets_of_faith, and giles_watchers so you will probably catch it. :D

I'll look forwards to reading your review. :)

1) Not really. I've just written some random dialogue for this multi-part fic I was planning that was set in the Chosenverse (fan-written season eight and nine, "The Chosen".); the story never got off the ground. So, it's not online.

2) yes! 40 is more than what I've found.

#11! I love that metaphor!

I love how you shuffled the words into a different order. What a great idea. These were all really interesting and I loved the story you created.

I've always liked that phrase. Odd littl phrase it is.

Glad you enjoyed these! And yeah, it sort of arranged itself into one long story!
