RL - Zabuza and Haku's arrival

Nov 25, 2007 00:05

((OOC: I'll be NPCing Beatrix for this, because I don't think Alexandria's Queen would wait all on her own to greet otherworldly-visitors.))After making one last check of the two new bedrooms herself, the queen made her way to the royal garden, where she had instructed Haku to appear when he worldhopped. Nervousness mixed with excitement; she would ( Read more... )

It was a particularly boggy day out in the small village, and Zabuza was starting to grow irate. Today was supposedly the day that he and Haku moved to a much safer place where they could begin assembling funds. The missing-nin knew little of what was to take place; he trusted Haku and hadn't pushed for details. The small hut was completely devoid of anything but the sparse furniture that had decorated the patch-work since before Zabuza had 'acquired' it.

His personal belongings had long since been packed away in a small knapsack that he had used since before his departure from the Mist. Haku's had been packed away as well, but the boy was nowhere to be found. Perhaps it was payback for being so scarce lately, but that was the source of Zabuza's increasingly foul mood. "Haku," he growled aggressively, "If you're not back in another moment, I'll leave without you."

It was a bold-faced lie, of course, since Zabuza couldn't depart for this new world without his young charge. Still, it made him feel better at least.

Just outside the door, an ice mirror appeared, son followed by Haku, a little sack of money he had been paid for bringing Shuraiya to Port Royal. He could feel the wear from traveling between worlds, but he didn't show it. Going inside to make sure his things were still packed away, he was surprised to find Zabuza inside.

"Welcome back," he said quietly, gathering his own small bag. "Are you ready to go?"

"Feh," Zabuza retorted coolly, "I've been ready all day Haku. Let's get out of this forsaken land."

He wasted no time in standing up, out of the wooden chair from which he'd been sprawled out in. Leaning up against the near wall was a massive slab of metal that some called a sword. Nearly as tall as the who wielded it, Zabuza attached the zanbatou to his back with ease, scooping up the small satchel of belongings in the same motion. The tall man briskly walked to the doorway and turned to face Haku expectantly.

Haku nodded and led the way outside. There, he focused what remained of his chakra and summoned up an ice mirror in front of them and in Alexandria. He took Zabuza by the hand and pulled him through. After a few minutes surrounded by the cold, they came out the other end in the palace's garden.

Breathing heavily, Haku, melted it down and looked up to find Garnet and someone he hadn't seen the last time he had been there sitting nearby.

"Hello again," he told the queen smiling a bit. "It's nice to see you again."
