I'm feeling pretty good now about my SVBB. I think I finally got Lex and Clark. A whole section of the story just fell into my lap (as it were). I saw where I was going wrong with Lex and that helped loads. I guess I thought a story like this should be terribly angsty and it's just--not. Yay for you! I'm glad the characters are finally talking to you. I hate it when they stay stubbornly silent. So frustrating. I find that sometimes I'm more stubborn, and sometimes they are. I'm glad you won this time.

Also SpNBB is extremely distracting. One was posted today that had a 300K+ word count. Oy!

I'm really excited! I love Clark in this story--he's different, but I hope he's still Clark to folks. I think I was heavily influenced by the last two seasons Clark. :)

Do you mind my asking if this indicates that Clark rapes Lex? I read a story like that by accident a few months ago -- the author did NOT warn for rape until I complained -- and I'm not about to repeat that experience.

I hadn't thought of it as rape. The way I planned it, Lex is very domineeering in the story, Clark is playing the role of a submissive for him. In the end, Clark looses his temper and flips the script on Lex, takes control. But Lex isn't frightened, he's surprised. However, it's Lex, so he bitches about it even while enjoying it. It's not a matter of ripping power away from Lex, or attacking him, it's Clark trying to get Lex to admit that he cares for Clark.

I learned my lesson about warnings a while ago, so I try to be as careful and informative as I can. I still mess up from time to time, so I certainly don't mind having misteps pointed out to me!

I won't be reading the story, however. Clark has super powers, and even if Lex wanted to stop him, he couldn't. This was, in a way, the scenario in that story that turned me off SV fanfiction. Clark was angry because Lex had been unfaithful, and forced Lex. He hit him and screamed abuse at him -- and then, of course, Lex really wanted it, though he never actually said so, he simply doesn't complain, because of course it's Clark so it's okay. I nearly threw up. I thought maybe this was the time to get back into reading fan fiction, but I guess not.

Oh, that sounds unpleasant. No, it's *definitely* not like that in my story. In my story, Clark's powers are reduced, purposely by him, though a bit of greenK. Clark's for rent in this story, and acts to the script provideded by him by the client. I hope you might change your mind and take a chance on this--I promise, no Lexs are abused in this fic. :)
