Have you noticed lately that people are starting to spell Cas as Cass? Why is that? I hate that. I don't care if the show writers spell it that way--it's Cas. Stop doing that. All those horrible comments to SpN articles are full of Cass people nowadays. It makes me cranky and evil. Even watching Show with CC on makes me cranky, because every time

I'm a show-is-canon girl all the way, but the one thing they've got wrong is "Cass"! Irks me every time I see it.

It's not just the show, it's the official tie-ins. The novels, at least, and if the scriptwriters are still using it, I assume all the rest are too.

It's the most ridiculous abbrevation I've ever seen, and I worked for a paper that used AP style.

I don't know how the hell they came up with that. Every time I see "Cass," my brain goes to "Cassie," which leads to a whole other romantic entanglemet for Dean.

Cassie! Yes, exactly! It takes me a moment to untangle because my brain goes right to her. The only person Dean cared enough about to tell the truth to, no matter how they retconned, where a one-night stand suddenly morphed into the love of his life but I'm not bitter.
