First, a bit of pirate-yness because I felt like it:

Then on to other things, like my name in the Urban Dictionary. I find it amusing that the first result is "adj. sexy and swanky at the same time." Then the example sentence is "All the girls want to dance with that roxy son of a gun."

Moving on, here's a picture of the new phones!

I, too, have had experiences like that with Verizon. Of course, that same level of general incompetence usually works out for us financially, like when they forgot to charge me for a phone when I moved to my parents bill, and when we called and told them about this, they sent us a check for the amount, rather than charging us for it. Or when they sent my security deposit refund twice. Yeah. They're not so smart always. But if you poke them enough, they'll do whatever you want!

Yeah. I still say they're not as bad as AT&T Wireless though. I hated them with a passion, and had to deal with them multiple times during the time I was with them. I ended up paying the cancellation fee just to get rid of them.

For a couple months after Kyle & I merged our plans together they kept trying to charge us for our share plan & Kyle's old individual plan. Since his old plan was a Colorado number, it was really fun trying to sort things out whether it was easier to get things accomplished over the phone or in the store, but eventually they sent us a refund check for month or two that they overcharged us.

I've had generally good experiences with Verizon, and in this case I don't think it was really a case of incompetence. Apart from Alicia writing down the wrong number (she wrote 9400 instead of 9440, an easy mistake to make), I think all our other trials were basically the result of a) the complexities of our particular situation and b) stupid corporate policies.

But I will say this: Brien (yeah, he spelled it funny) at the Verizon/Access Wireless kiosk at Lindale went above and beyond earning his commission. I'm still considering writing a letter to his manager.

Since when did you have to have the same area code to be on a share plan? When I had a share plan with Chris and Billy in Phoenix, we all had different area codes (Billy and I were 602 and Chris was 623). Well, 480, 602, and 623 are all Phoenix area codes so that probably makes a difference.
