You know those nights when you want to write something because it's all epic and awesome in your head but the words on the page don't translate to anything close to what's in your head? Yeah. Lots of those.

Oh I know them well! I would say get a dictaphone but there's something so lovely about writing, even if it takes so damn long (and you know me, I'm a pen and pad kinda gal!) I think half the fun is in the process though, I guess you just have to have the patience to see the process through :-)

Great writing is like great photography: you practice a lot, create a few stunningly beautiful works, and accumulate boxes of product that never quite measured up.

I keep having these flashes of brilliant thought, never enough to complete anything, but I visit them in my notes from time to time. Some of them might amount to something, some day. If I didn't write them down, they'd be "dust in the wind".
