so tonight i have been in the kitchen, cooking soup and then scones, and now i am eating a scone, drinking red rose tea and listening to the Bridget Jones 2 soundtrack. it is a very girly sort of night. i should do a breast self exam! y'know, just for fun.

the scones look yummy, despite their blue-ness. I assume you did drain the canned blueberries, right?

I want a scone. This is the second time blueberry scones have been waved in my face today, believe it or not.

i used frozen blueberries and the colour of them just ran everywhere. oh well. TSM actually preferred them this way!

You have no idea how much I love blueberries. Pancakes, muffins, smoothies, bagels, yogurt blueberry EVERYTHING I love, so those blue scones look amazing to me!!! OH MY GAWD. PLEASE SHIP ME ONE. Or ten.

i am very surprised that the scones are eliciting such a reaction, but that is the power of the scone for ya. unfortch, i am not sure they would withstand the trip to nyc, however i can pass on the recipe if you'd like?

I wasn't exactly serious about the shipping. I did almost buy a scone from Starbucks this morning because of seeing this picture last night though. Somehow I resisted and only walked out with a grande Americano, but you are still an evil woman. :D

speaking of the americano, when you go to starbs, do you specifically ask for the americano? i only ever order mild or bold coffee, but are there are other ones that they brew? indeed, i am still a starbs novice.

the soup is primarily carrots, onion, veggie broth, coconut milk and ginger with - would you believe - a tablespoon of maple syrup. it is basically a recipe for happiness.
