How convenient that you made a post about coffee, because I was trying to find some way to segue what I wanted to comment about into your last post.

Now, my friend, I can let 'er rip. I found this recipe moments ago and thought that you must have it: CHAI LATTE CUPCAKES. http://www.theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/index.php?RecipeID=386

I hate peppermint but I love the gingerbread latte. Maybe even more than the pumpkin spice latte.

Is the pepermint one like brushing your teeth and then drinking a latte?

On dec 1st my roommate and I are getting a christmas tree :D We're only waiting that long so we don't look like freaks who have a christmas tree in november.

have you noticed LJ hasn't been sending comment notification emails?

the peppermint one is really quite strong. i think i actually prefer the peppermint hot chocolate. i haven't tried the gingerbread one in a couple of years, but perhaps i will soon change that. PERHAPS.

i have definitely noticed i haven't received my comment notifications! good thing i am obsessed with lj and keep checking out my own journal for comments.

count me as one of the freaks who has a Christmas tree in November. i get it from my mom. i can't help it!

when in november? christmas tree lovers want to know.

my roommate and I both agree that unless we get a real tree we don't want one at all, because (in our opinions) without the pine tree scent what is the point?

i have a fake tree to go with my fake life. hah.

my mom had a rule of never putting it up before Remembrance Day, so usually the Saturday after Remembrance Day we'd break out the Bing Crosby and put it up. I usually wait until the last weekend of November now, because it can be so dreary, weatherwise, and i need the pick-me-up.

oh this post reminds me of something. you are going to think I am EFFIN crazy - but a long time ago we had an lj-comment conversation about the unavailability of tall-sized starbucks travel mugs. well ever since then, every single time I go into a starbucks I look for tall-sized travel mugs, it's like a compulsion, I can't keep myself from looking at every display they have and checking the size of every travel mug!

also, I love the snowflake sleeves, but my absolute favorite sign that christmas is coming is the red starbucks cup... I always feel so cheery when I see one! (I am going to refrain from commenting on how lame this probably makes me!)

I LOVE THE RED STARBY'S CUPS. you are not alone with your lameness!

i totally remember our conversation about the Tall starby's travel mugs. i found some, but didn't buy them because my euphoria was replaced with the fact that it's hard to spend $10 on a plastic cup so i kept waiting for them to go on sale. now i have a big one of my very own (dirty), which is the perfect size for chai lattes (i always get my chai lattes in grande).

I found on ebay an auction that has what they call "tall travel mugs" for sale. 8 of them for $9. I like one of the christmas ones, but I don't want all 8.

This is a hard time of year for me because I can never decide if I want peppermint mocha or gingerbread spice or eggnog or pumpkin spice or the good ol' standby of chai. The amount of choices is overwhelming.

i had totally forgotten about the possibility of eggnog chai. its mere existence is proof that there is a God.

but i know what you mean about all of the choices. it is completely overwhelming, stressful, and awesome.
