Frankly, I would read anything you've written.

But I vote scones.

I am very excited that you are going to do this. I will live vicariously through you as you know I want to be a writer but don't have the talent to do so. You, on the other hand, are excellent at this.

I think I vote for embracing mediocrity because you could talk about scones and reality television since they are simple pleasures which make any day better.

embracing mediocrity is one of those umbrella topics that could cover a number of sub-topics.

and eff the idea that you are not a good writer. i won't allow such lies as commentary on this journal. i think you should write for CROQ too, as you actually have crafty talent whereas i am a mere poser. PLUS YOU ARE A GREAT WRITER, SNOOP BOOGIE *waves fist in air that scares flock of birds, but this time prompted by good instead of evil*

As you think you pale in comparison to crazyauntpurl (which, for the record, i think is shennanigans), I feel the same way when reading your entries. Not to inflate your ego any more, but you are hilarious and I wish I could be half as entertaining.

I also forgot to thank you for being my "exporter" (wink. wink.)

i will "export" anything to you that can be "exported". wink wink indeed.

I think those are all fantastic topics to write about...I love your writing and think you can handle any of them in a witty and fun manner. I vote pumpkins/pumpkin scones, if it's going to be a fall issue.

Maybe you could eventually turn into one of those bloggers who write a book...though maybe that only happens in the knitting community? There are several knitting blogs that turned into books...

after reading dooce, sundrymorning, and crazyauntpurl, my self-esteem re: writing has gone kersplat. especially with crazyauntpurl. i would shit myself if i could write like her! she kills me on a daily basis.

yes, i am writing this from the grave.

p.s. thanks for the compliments, though. it seems like pumpkin/scones is gaining an edge!

I wouldn't read about scones because, don't beat me up for this, I'm not a big fan.

Reality tv? meh.

A 600-800 word article on embracing mediocrity I might read. especially if it included something about reality tv and expandable pants.

the livejournal connection one I would read

and with a heading like "It's like 1812 all over again" it would at least be able to capture my attention for 1 paragraph.

I was going to say, "do you really think you could write 800 words about scones?" But then I came to my senses. Of course you could.

My vote is for embracing mediocrity. I know it's something I could get better at. And you could expand it to cover most of those other topics.

i think i could maybe even write an entire book about scones.

ooh, i smell a challenge.

the embracing mediocrity one is appealing, but i am afraid it will be too much about me...like too biographical? i am not sure i want to focus on that (as this journal is biographical enough). but, hmmm...something to think about.
