Lut Health Update: Still Stable

Lut is still at the hospital. He's in a regular room now, and he's off the IV and the monitoring equipment, which is nice (no more wires to worry about every time he moves). He's been eating on his own. He gets up a couple of times a day, with assistance, and sits in the hospital room recliner or stands by the window for a little bit.  Other than ( Read more... )

Oh, also... I know you're super focused to get the most utilitarian possible vehicle, but maybe you still have an opportunity to have a little fun with it, to offset all the stress going on right now? Since you're buying new, your choice is probably going to have power features that used to be optional, and some neat little tech things anyway, like a bluetooth audio system so you can play music off your phone. It could be fun to explore. Think of it as your own personal Sessile golem.

This thing is a major purchase no matter how austere you try to make it, and new, it's going to be with you for a long time. To make the most of your money, you're going to have this thing for 100,000 to 200,000 miles and beyond. Make it something that will be at least pleasant to drive, don't go bound and determined to get bare iron seats and an auto-flagellator. :) It shouldn't be a punishment, it doesn't have to be.
