Great Weekend

I cooked my first ever dinner for a dinner party. As in: not everything involved came out of a box! I went and actually bought raw brisket and cooked it! Delicious! It turned out beautifully (as did the veggie lasagne, the corn, the salad, and all the jewish goodies in the middle ( Read more... )

Uhoh Eli, your sister is almost legal!

Aren't dinner parties fun? There's something about people coming together over food that is wonderful and uplifting. I've been watching this show on PBS called "America's Test Kitchen" and trying to learn to cook better - they do a good job of explaining the theory behind the recipes and such.

i've seen that show a couple of times, it's pretty cool show.

I wish I could go to Serendipity with you and have frozen hot chocolates! :(

I love RENT...I saw it in New York in 2004 and I love the film version too. At camp last summer one of my co-counselors had the RENT soundtrack on her ipod and during shower hour we would listen to it and quite often the RENT soundtrack came on and a lot of my Middies knew the words to the songs!!!

oh and by saying 'at camp last summer' I mean in 2006...cos obviously I didn't go back last summer...and cos I wasn't there I forget it carried on going this past summer! Haha

Oh, let Harly know I wished her a Happy Birthday. I would totally buy her some manga, but I'm sure she has every good issue ever printed.
