It's a machine for one-person body-powered ground transportation, but much faster than walking.

A seat between two wheels (before and behind, not on the sides), with a column and handles attached to the front wheel to steer, like an inverse rudder.

Gears and chains connect the rear wheel to pedals for propulsion. It looks pretty efficient as long as it stays up, which I'm assured it does.

[Some scribbled velocity calculations, barely decipherable] At even moderate speed, it should.

We could probably stand to make the seat a little more comfortable, though.
