The tree was proving to be of great interest to Jack, even if he couldn't actually do anything to it. Magical essence (and yes, he was finally willing to admit that freely) powerful enough to be concentrated into a tree and rip open the barriers between dimensions. It was incredible and terrifying.

Apparently it was also active. Jack picked up the pace a little, finished crossing the narrow bridge, and looked down at the naked young woman who'd just fallen to the ground. "Afternoon." Jack bent down and picked up one of the cloaks from the little pile left there for new arrivals and held it open for her. "You're going to freeze your ass off if you don't get moving. I don't recommend that, especially since it's such a nice ass."

Or, you know, a really attractive someone.

Grace took the cloak and sort of draped it over her shoulders, open. It wasn't going to make her any warmer anyway.

So she'd gone to one of those outdoor parties she was some-what accustomed to and they'd snuck off to -- wherever the hell this was. That was fine. Exotic scenery, keeping it interesting.

Complimenting her ass, a great start if there ever was one.

She shifted to stand and caught herself, cursing. Alright. Still spiked. Good.

"Whoa!" Jack reached out quickly and caught her under her arms before she could hit the ground, pulling her against his chest. "Easy there. You feeling all right?" He wasn't letting her go until he was sure she'd be able to stand on her own.

And he was such a gentleman.

Didn't meet many of those.

Grace tilted her head up and blinked, vision swimming, just a little. She moved her hands to take his shoulders, one eyebrow raising, a bit presumptuous, aren't you?, and then the other, not that I'm complaining.

"Feeling fine," really, really fine.

Jack chuckled and didn't let go of her. "Good to hear." Wasn't the tree supposed to make you feel ill? She seemed to be past that part - maybe. "I'm Jack." He resisted the urge to add 'and you're drunk' to the end of his introduction.
