Manic found himself landing face-first on the floor after a very short drop from...something. His thoughts were a bit muddled and he felt tired and disoriented. "Whoa, this isn't cool..."
Rolling over, he managed to prop himself onto his hands and he noted Mikney leaning against the wall looking like he'd just taken on a horde of swatbots...but Manic had never seen anyone like him which made things more confusing. "Hey, are you alright?"
Mikney doubled over, for a moment, biting his lip in pain. Non-humans took a toll -- at least it wasn't as shockingly painful as Temeraire, as an entire dragon ripping its way from Mikney's being.
"Hello," he managed, and took a deep breath. He was well and truly sick of making sure worldwalkers didn't materialize in Elimyr's clutches.
Sonic sat up in bed after hearing the commotion- at least, one man exiting a room sounded like a commotion in a quiet place like this- moved to the door, opened it and saw: Mikney. And a Mobian. A hedgehog. A green hedgehog.
Scourge. Of everyone it could've been, the Gate had to choose...
Sonic didn't waste a millisecond considering that it might be someone else. If it was Scourge, Rowan was about to have a heap of trouble. Unless Sonic did something.
In half a flash he had come up behind the green hedgehog, locked his arms behind his back and pressed him face-first into the wall.
"Well, look who it is. Guess the No Zone just wasn't a deep enough hole to put you in."
"Wha-!" was all Manic got out, before his nose was forcefully introduced to the wall. But then he was trying to pull his arms free. "Hey, what do you think you're doing man?! Lemme go!"
"Sonic!" snapped Mikney, taken utterly off-guard -- and something was different, about his voice, then. Something with a hint of thunder and lightning, the wildness of nature unleashed.
