Demyx was wandering through the oasis, being careful to avoid any more scorpions, searching for something to eat besides coconuts. Seriously, there had to be something, right? They were really getting old. But no one should probably be complaining since they were lucky to have that much probably. And Sonic and Tails hadn't found anything while they were out, he'd read on the journal thing.

A part of him wondered how long they'd be staying here. The other part worried about how long they were stuck here.

In either case, Demyx was searching for food and he spotted someone. He didn't look like one of the elves or demons, and he was one of the wolrdwalkers that Demyx had met, so what did he do? Wave. "Hi there! Who're you?"

Edmund squinted at the newcomer, sending another surreptitious glance towards the ridge. Susan wasn't visible.

No matter. Whoever he was, he hadn't displayed any threat. Yet.

"Edmund," said Edmund. "Do you live here?"

"Uh. Not really," Demyx said, looking confused. Maybe he just got here? That would make sense. "I don't think this place even existed a week ago. Not that I'd really know since I hadn't really been out in the middle of the desert or anything..." He trailed off, not sure what to say and wondering why this kid looked a little familiar. Probably nothing. Maybe he had seen him around and just didn't know it. "I'm Demyx."

"What do you mean, it didn't exist?" asked Edmund, genuinely curious. Could be a few things. The desert, the oasis, the entire world. Maybe this was near the beginning of Narnia.

Could be, of course, that Demyx came up through the ground, just like the dragon and Edmund and Susan had.

Oki was doing what he'd been doing for over two weeks...sitting in the cave entrance doing nothing while guarding comatose people who weren't being bothered. One could question the point of this, but he used the time to meditate also.

The sound of footsteps reached his ears and he turned his head to see who was aproaching.

It took Edmund rather a lot of searching to find what Demyx was referring to. 'Over there' was not the most effective set of directions Edmund had ever had, but he worked with what he got, and it wasn't too long before he emerged in a clearing that looked about right.

"Hello," said Edmund, to the man who seemed to be guarding the cave. "Do you live here?"

Oki shook his head. "No, I'm only waiting here." He noted that this was a new face. "Did you only just arrive here?" It would answer a couple of things actually.
